The Jam Handy is a place that we always look forward to revisiting, especially for weddings. The spacious rooms, high ceilings, and gothic architecture make it a unique space that exudes the history of Detroit’s bustling film industry and helps us create beautiful photos. Despite it’s size there is always a cozy and connected atmosphere as guests move freely from room to room, enjoying cocktails, dancing, and mingling throughout the night. As the evening progresses we have found the loft perfect for grabbing candid photos as we get to see various guests celebrate with you and each other. Aside from that, we love the huge dance floor that overlooks the romantic alleyway covered with vines and market lights. It’s the perfect place to capture some intimate end-of-night photos without straying too far from the dancefloor. For photographing weddings at The Jam Handy, we find it perfect to accommodate larger wedding celebrations where you can turn up the volume and party well into the night.

Which is, exactly what our couple did as we coasted throughout Detroit to capture their day of coffee, amazing music, and celebration.
