Belle Isle sits in the heart of the Detroit River with waterfront access, city views, and a few venues that are even more breathtaking. Having your event here gives you several options on where to host you wedding from Detroit Yacht ClubAnna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, Belle Isle Casino, or the Dossin Great Lakes Museum. Public Beach in the Upper Peninsula

Take a journey way north and pick your favorite beach as your wedding venue. This way you bring the natural grandeur right to you. Pick any spot with you and as many as 20 guests hold a ceremony, It’s as easy as that in Michigan. Just make sure to square away your marriage licenses with the proper municipalities.

Michigan State Park

We have photographed many weddings at various state parks around Michigan and we think they are the perfect venue. You’ll have to square away the proper permits but you have the ability to choose nearly any state park across Michigan once approved. Local municipalities should be able to guide you the rest of way once you decide on a location. Smaller guests counts around 20 are probably preferred but having your reception at a local winery or restaurant after is the best way to end the night.

Get Married at a Private Residence

The hardest part about have your wedding at a private residence would be set up and tear down, but still thats up to how big of a wedding you want to have. With no specified guest counts you can turn any backyard into a wedding venue. So ask friends, family, or reach out to someone with that envious property what is the worst that could happen. From there you’ll need to potentially secure vendors, permits, and decorations. With this complete diy route there is no end to what you can do.
