BIRDY ROOM

Shinola’s Birdy Room is unlike any other place to get married in Detroit. With its vaulted glass ceilings you feel surround by the opulence of the city without any of the commotion. It’s the perfect room for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hour, or a place for your guests to enjoy. Standing receptions can be held with up to 160 guests, and seated events can be have up to 70 guests. At the opposite end of the space there is a full bar to keep the party going smoothly late into the evening.

BIXBY HALL

Upon entering Bixby Hall you are brought back to a time in the city that fells like the roaring 20’s. This stunning space features a decadent marble fireplace, modern chandeliers, white tile ceiling, and floor to ceiling french doors allowing natural light to delicately spill across the hall. Bixby Hall can accommodate anywhere from 100-180 guests for reception.

SAN MORELLO

If you are planning a more unique event, with a smaller number of guests, you should consider San Morello. Primarily an Italian restaurant serving up wood fired pizza, pasta, and other enticing dishes San Morello can also hold small private events up to 36 guests. This makes it the perfect space to hold a small post wedding meal with those closest to you in an intimate family setting.

THE EVENING BAR

One of Detroit’s foremost bars featuring seasonally inspired cocktails, handpicked spirits, and a selection of small plates. Located in Parkers Alley just outside Shinola Hotel you’ll find an inconspicuous door that makes you feel like your entering into a prohibition era bar. The space feels like a relaxing evening making it perfect for an intimate evening with up to 40 of your closest friends and family.

FAQ

If Shinola is the place where you’d love to tie the knot there are two packages to choose from. From the Standard Package starting around $200 per person and the Premium Package for $260 per person. Each package comes with various options to upgrade to help create your perfect wedding package!

The standard package is a 5-hour event which includes 4 Hours for pre-event setup, full standard bar/wine selection, table side wine service, 4 Passed hors d’oeuvres, chef market table, 3-course family-style dinner, front and back house staff, tables, chairs, house linen, glassware, and flatware.

Premium package begins with a 5 hour event which includes 4 Hours for pre-event setup, full premium bar/wine selection, tableside wine service, 6 Passed hors d’oeuvres, 1 chef or Eastern Market table, custom wedding cake, 3 courses plated or family-style dinner, front and back house staff, tables, chairs, house linen, glassware, and flatware.

Pricing may vary based on your venue choice with pricing being subject to change. Rental upgrades are provided upon request with options to upgrade the menu as well. There is an on-site ceremony fee of $1,500, a 3% administrative fee, a 20% operational fee, and 6% MI state tax.

Winter Wedding at Shinola

We were honored to photograph this evening of celebration in the heart of downtown. Shinola cast the perfect backdrop as the sun set across the rooftops and the sparkle of the city lit the sky. From the ceremony in The Birdy Room to the romantic reception in Bixby Hall the entire evening was absolutely beautiful!
