Outdoor Wedding Detroit Lafayette Greens

Have you ever been to Lafayette Greens? It’s one of the best outdoor wedding spaces Detroit has to offer. If you have not we’re pretty sure you have at least driven past it. Lafayette Greens is nestled on the perfect piece slice land one block away from Campus Martius, which is basically the center of Detroit. We’re not sure of any other city that can boast of an easily accessible venue, well designed, and centrally located like Lafayette Greens. It’s a serious gem of Detroit and we hope to be back there soon.

Starting in Midtown at the El Moore, this place just oozes with style paired with epic views to boot. Navigating the twisting hallways and passing double door after double door we made it to their room. A suite facing some the perfect city skyline, we poured champagne and got to celebrating. It wasn’t long before everyone got in the mood of the day and everything seemed to coast from there on out. The bubbly nearly empty and the time just right we all skated our way downtown and prepared for the ceremony.

The space nearly ready as is, the only required addition are guests and maybe a few glasses of wine. Pair that with the best charcuterie in Detroit all provided by Mudgie’s and the rest is history. The ceremony was short, sweet, and filled with tears of joy and much laughter. Being a smaller wedding means each guest has their own unique connection to Greg and Liza. So with every turn of our camera we were constantly struck with a deep connection to the couple from everyone present. As the ceremony ended we made our way around the outdoor wedding space candidly photographing each guest, enjoying the cool breeze and a glass of wine.
